Zoho Sign is now officially approved for use by the Israel Tax Authority
The Israel Tax Authority maintains an official list of remote signature systems approved for use by tax representatives, accountants, and tax advisors. This list outlines which software and applications meet the necessary security, authentication, and regulatory standards, and can be used to sign annual reports, asset declarations, and other documents. Zoho Sign has recently been added to this list, having met all the required criteria.
No paperwork - just sign!
Zoho Sign is Zoho’s digital signature solution that readily complies with all popular e-signature laws, including in the US (ESIGN Act), the EU (eIDAS), Israel, and many other countries. Businesses can automate e-signature workflows, verify the identity of signers, collect payments, and do much more, all while staying compliant with regulations. It also integrates seamlessly with Zoho’s ecosystem of apps and supports external platforms like Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, making it easy to integrate into any digital work environment.
The status of digital signatures in Israel
Remote signing in Israel was introduced initially as a temporary measure during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, in early 2023, the Israel Tax Authority issued a formal directive that made remote signing a permanent option. This directive also required that only systems officially registered and approved by the authority could be used for remote signature processes.
After a thorough review, Zoho Sign was found to meet all the technical and regulatory standards and is now officially approved by the Israel Tax Authority for remote signing. The approval is valid until August 31, 2026, with annual renewal expected.
The full power of Zoho in the finance sector
Being added to the official list of approved remote signing systems is great news for tax representatives, accountants, and financial consultants in Israel. It means they can now leverage the full advantages of an all-in-one system without needing external tools. This reduces costs and eliminates the need for redundant data entry.
On a practical level, financial service providers can now maintain full operational continuity within a unified digital environment, manage client communication through Zoho CRM or Zoho Desk, send and receive signatures via Zoho Sign, and ensure that all documents are stored and organized securely in Zoho WorkDrive.
