A workplace is more than just tasks; it’s the people who bring it to life! And the women on our team? They’re at the heart of it. This Women’s Day, I sat down with my colleagues to talk about what drives us, how we support each other, and what makes work enjoyable. Being part of this conversation made it even more special, as I got to share my own thoughts along the way.
Come along as we reflect on some relevant questions together!
1. What does Women’s Day mean to you personally?
Monisha, our Technical Support Engineer, shares her thoughts: To me, Women’s Day is about cherishing womanhood and reflecting on our journey. It’s a time to acknowledge how we have evolved—as daughters, mothers, colleagues, friends, and individuals—balancing responsibilities with resilience and grace.
Loshni: A moment to celebrate all the women who have supported and inspired my journey, and a reminder to keep lifting each other up every day.
2. What’s one piece of advice you’d give to young women starting their careers?
Debeka, our Software Development Engineer, says: Never hesitate to take on new challenges, big or small. Each one is an opportunity to learn.
Loshni: Acquire new skills along the way, and remember that unlearning things that are no longer useful is just as important as learning. Embracing both helps us stay adaptable and prepared to take on new challenges and tasks at work.
Divya, our Software Development Engineer, puts it simply: Don't hold back from starting anything because of obstacles. Stay focused on your goal.
3. How do you support and uplift other women at work?
Monisha: I support and uplift other women at work by comforting and reassuring them, letting them know that I understand what they’re going through. I offer help whenever needed and encourage them through challenges. Since appreciation and acknowledgment can make a difference, I make it a point to compliment their efforts and remind them that they’re doing great, despite any hardships they may face.
Debeka: I do everything I can to eliminate self-doubt among the women around me and foster confidence.
Loshni: Celebrating fellow women for both their small wins and big achievements is important. Being each other’s biggest cheerleader is what truly makes a difference.
4. What’s one work habit that helps you stay productive and inspired?
Debeka: I usually take things lightly, even when they don't go as planned. Learning through the process is the one constant that always helps.
Monisha: The eagerness to learn, stay organized, and acquire knowledge from every possible source keeps me motivated. I constantly reflect on areas where I can improve and strive to enhance my skills and understanding.
5. What do you love most about working with your team?
Divya: My team has given me the confidence to voice my opinions in every decision, regardless of whether I’m directly part of the process or not.
Monisha: I have an incredibly supportive team filled with young, innovative, and creative minds. I learn from them every day, and they never hesitate to help me. This mutual support and collaboration make teamwork truly rewarding.
6. What’s one thing that makes work fun for you?
Loshni: My team! They’re a fun, lively bunch, and every day with them is full of energy and laughter.
Divya: Work becomes fun when I get to explore different perspectives on processes and implementations. It broadens my understanding and sparks new ideas.
Monisha: What makes work fun for me is the energy and creativity of my team. Collaborating with passionate, innovative minds keeps things exciting and inspiring. Whether it's brainstorming new ideas, celebrating small wins, or simply sharing a laugh during the day, the positive team spirit makes work enjoyable and fulfilling.
7. How do you balance productivity and enjoyment at work?
Debeka: For me, trying out new coding theories to solve existing problems is an interesting challenge that helps me balance productivity and enjoyment.
Loshni: I take mindful breaks, whether it’s hydrating, focusing on deep work, or enjoying a quick word game with my buddies. It helps me stay balanced and refreshed.
Divya: I balance productivity and enjoyment by engaging in work that broadens my knowledge and enhances my learning curve.
8. If your team were a movie or TV show, what would it be called?
Debeka: Minions - They are wholehearted, and always eager to serve their chosen leader with unwavering dedication. We are chaotic in our own ways, but we come together to make our work successful.
Divya: I'm not really into movies or TV shows, but if I had to compare my team to something, I'd call it a marathon—one that embraces slowness with steady strength.
Loshni: If my team were a movie, it’d be Mission Possible—because we always make things happen.
Taking it all in, the strength of a workplace lies in its people, and this conversation reminds us that encouragement, teamwork, and shared success make all the difference. Women’s Day isn’t just about today—it’s a spirit we carry forward every day. Here's to celebrating, supporting, and uplifting each other always. Team Zoho WorkDrive wishes you a Happy International Women’s Day!
