Constellation ShortList™ recognizes Zoho WorkDrive as one of the leading cloud-content management solutions

We are excited to share that Zoho WorkDrive has been featured among the top 8 enterprise file sharing and cloud-content management solutions by Constellation ShortList™. 

Constellation Research evaluated multiple file management software vendors based on their usability, functionality, and industry certifications. A whopping 40 vendors in the enterprise file-sharing solution category were analyzed for inclusion, and Zoho WorkDrive was chosen as one of the best cloud-content management platforms.  

The criteria for this Constellation ShortList™ included:

  • Administrative controls

Administrators should have options to add members with access controls, protect data from vulnerabilities, and manage user devices.  

  • Analytics/metrics/dashboards

From account details to user activities on files, the solution must provide a comprehensive overview of everything happening in the database.

  • Business partner ecosystem

The vendor must have an ecosystem of trusted partners who work as a single team and contribute to the strategic direction of the product and business.

  • Client options: desktop, mobile, tablet, large screen, wearables, embedded in other applications

The solution must offer mobility to its users. Files in the database should be accessible from anywhere and on any device.

  • Collaboration features

Users must be able to share their information seamlessly with access controls. The solution must have options to share files within a team, across departments, and with external clients.

  • Compliance/governance features and certifications

The product should meet industry-specific security standards like ISO 27001, SOC 2 (Service Organization Control) Type II, GDPR, and HIPAA, etc.

  • Extensibility (APIs/SDKs, documentation, samples, training)

Customers and partners should be able to adapt the software to their business needs. The solution must provide necessary configurations and documentation for the same.

  • Licensing options (freemium, premium, enterprise, external access), storage tiers/limits

The product should have a free trial, and provide multiple plans with storage tiers that suit businesses of any size.  

  • Intelligent document features: image tagging, audio transcription, recommend content, compliance checking

The software must offer certain AI capabilities in its applications to help users work more efficiently.

  • Integration with other business tools/platforms

Users should be able to integrate the software with their third-party apps and unify their data in a single platform.

  • Search and discovery capabilities

The product should have advanced search options to broaden the scope of a search query and accelerate data discovery.

  • Security (access roles, administration roles, transport and storage, encryption key ownership)

The solution must clearly define the admin and user roles. It should encrypt the data during transit and at rest and enable admins to manage the encryption key.

These criteria were determined by client inquiries, partner conversations, customer references, market share, internal research, and briefings with vendors. This research is based on these business themes: Future of Work, and New C-Suite.
