Here at Zoho ZeptoMail have always worked towards ensuring that all our customers irrespective of business size or industry gets the good deliverability for their all-important transactional emails. Our latest feature is no different.
Zoho ZeptoMail now provides dedicated IPs for email sending!
What does this mean?
Zoho ZeptoMail sends emails from well-maintained shared IPs. This means that our users are grouped into multiple pools with each pool of users sharing the same IP(s) to send emails. These IPs are meticulously maintained by ZeptoMail to ensure great deliverability for the users. Every new account goes through a vetting process and even after approval, the email sending activity of the users is monitored to ensure that the IPs are not being misused. This way, our users are able to reap the benefits of shared IPs and can build their sender reputation without having to worry about IP maintenance and expense.
While shared IPs come with great benefits, there are some users, often with high volume email sending, who need a dedicated IP. A dedicated IP means that the email sending IP is not shared by multiple users. The IP is used only to send the emails of one user.
There are two major benefits to a dedicated IP:
Allows you to keep complete control over your IP reputation.
Easy to troubleshoot deliverability issues.
Who is the dedicated IP for?
Dedicated IPs are often marketed as the magic potion to getting great deliverability but that's not always true. In reality, a dedicated IP is required and beneficial only to certain senders. In fact, if you’re a low-volume sender or inconsistent sender, using a dedicated IP could do more harm than good. Here are some cases where a dedicated IP will help your deliverability:
You’re a high-volume sender with consistent frequency. (More than 10000 emails in a day)
You’re confident in your email practices.
You have a proven reputation and can afford to build on it with a dedicated IP.
You’re facing deliverability issues with shared IPs from reputed providers.
Read our Shared IP vs dedicated IP article to know in-depth information about both and which would suit you best.
How can I request a dedicated IP?
Dedicated IPs can be purchased in ZeptoMail for an additional cost on yearly basis. Check the pricing here. You can raise a request for a dedicated IP in ZeptoMail using the below-given steps:
Login to your Zoho ZeptoMail account.
From the left pane, navigate to the Dedicated IP page.
Click on Request Dedicated IP. Choose the number of IP(s) you want.
Go through the terms and conditions and select the checkbox next to it to agree to them.
Click Request to submit the request.
Once the request has been raised, your account and the email sending activity will be evaluated on key metrics like volume, sending frequency, consistency, bounce rate and more. If the request passes the evaluation, payment for the dedicated IP will be initiated, Once the payment is processed, the IP warmup process will begin.
The automatic warmup process will gradually increase the email sending volume from the dedicated IP to ensure that the IP reputation is not affected. Once the warmup is done, your dedicated IP is all set to handle your email sending.
Take a look at our help documentation for detailed instructions.
Note: The dedicated IP feature is only available in certain DCs. Contact support for more info.
