Zoho Vault - Release Notes

Super admins and admins can now select a designated folder when transferring ownership of passwords. Previously, transferred passwords were mixed with all saved credentials, making it difficult to track those from departing users. With this update, passwords are directly transferred into a chosen folder, allowing super admins to organize and manage them more efficiently.

We've enhanced security by introducing a breached password alert when updating your password. If the entered password has been compromised in known data breaches, a warning message will be displayed, prompting you to choose a more secure password. This helps enhance account security and protect against potential threats.

Event notifications are now sent as password-protected PDF files instead of HTML format in emails, ensuring enhanced security and confidentiality.

In addition to passwords, users can now access folders offline and create regular backups of their folder information, providing added convenience.

In addition to the web version, users can closely track all Zoho Vault login activities through both the browser extension and mobile application, ensuring heightened security and vigilant monitoring.

Reports have undergone a significant overhaul to provide users with deeper and more comprehensive insights.

Users can now narrow their password searches by filtering for specific users or groups they've shared passwords with or received passwords from.

1. Domain matching: Customize domain matching at a global level. Enhanced and easier settings help you configure subdomain matching.
2. Advanced settings:
   1. Disable badge count: When enabled, the extension's badge on the toolbar won't show the domain matching password count.
   2. Disable the website vault icon: When enabled, the vault icon won't appear in password fields, but you can still access your passwords from the right-click context menu.
   3. Disable click to login: When enabled, clicking on the password entry will show the password details instead of automatically logging in.
3. Multi-language support: The extension now supports multiple languages. The extension language can be changed by changing the browser language. 
4. Enhanced filter: Users can now filter their passwords by tags. For instance, by searching for the tag "bank," users can easily access all of their bank account credentials.

Super admins now have granular control over folder creation permissions, so they can selectively restrict specific users or groups from adding new folders.

Unlock extension using authenticators: Users can now effortlessly unlock their extensions by using popular authenticators such as Touch ID, Windows Hello, passkeys, and YubiKey. This integration allows users to access the extension without the need to manually enter their master password each time, guaranteeing a convenient and smooth experience.

Autofill master password: Users can now securely store their master password within the extension and conveniently use it to autofill login credentials on the Zoho Vault website. This feature is particularly beneficial for users with multiple Vault accounts.

Enhanced instant notification alerts are now available for critical operations, including: emergency access, report exports, audit trails exports, offline access, password policy updates, user TFA status changes, and immediate access restriction to emergency passwords. These alerts are based on user roles and privileges. For instance, if a new emergency contact is added, all super admins will receive an immediate pop-up notification at the top-right corner of the web interface.

1. Expanded category support: Increased the number of supported categories during import from 50 to 200, providing greater flexibility for bringing in more data at once.
2. Reuse password name: During import, users now have the option to reuse existing password names. This functionality is available when the reuse option is enabled within fine-grained controls, providing more flexibility.

Safari extension: The Safari extension has been upgraded with enhanced functionality. Users now have access to all of Zoho Vault features within Safari. For instance, TOTP functionality is now fully supported, a feature that was previously unavailable.

1. Unified theme across the web app and the extension: The UI color theme and font settings are now synced between the extension and the web app. Previously, the extension and the web app had separate themes and fonts. Now, both share the same settings, which can be configured from either platform.
2. Enhanced password generator: When adding or editing passwords, users now have the option to generate passwords using the built-in password generator. Simply click on the generator icon within the password field to access this feature.
   
    

Monitor the security of enterprise passwords effortlessly with our latest update to the Password Assessment Report. This upgraded version offers comprehensive insights into both overall user passwords and individual user-specific passwords, providing a comprehensive evaluation of password security across your organization.

Earlier, our support was limited to websites that required TOTP input through a single field. However, we’ve now broadened our capabilities to cater to websites that have six separate boxes, allowing users to autofill each digit of their TOTP code individually. 

Users can now move a folder from one place to another in the hierarchical structure along with the sharing privileges. Additionally, permission privileges will align with the configurations set in the fine-grained controls and clone-sharing privileges. Users also have the capability to delete folders along with their associated passwords.

• Website and browser extension icons revamped: Website and browser extension icons have been redesigned and enhanced to improve their visual appeal and functionality.
• Lock extensions on system lock: Browser extensions automatically lock when the system is locked, providing enhanced security by preventing access to passwords even if someone gains access to your device. This feature is exclusively available on Chromium browsers.

• Third-party sharing: Zoho Vault browser extensions now enable effortless third-party password sharing.
• Prevent developer tools during one-click login: We have enhanced the security of our one-click login process by implementing measures to prevent unauthorized access via developer tools, ensuring the passwords remain protected.
• Search: The browser extension now offers an improved search functionality, allowing users to search for multiple words and highlights matching search terms.
• Time-based one-time passwords (TOTP): Users can now fetch TOTPs from Zoho OneAuth for auto login to websites through browser extensions. 

We have improved our payment card detection feature to seamlessly auto-fill card details. For instance, some websites have payment card fields placed within different iframes, making it challenging to detect and autofill them. However, we’ve overcome this challenge, ensuring a smooth autofill experience in such cases.

The form to add and edit passwords has been revamped and streamlined.

Administrators can perform bulk updates to password policies, simplifying the management of password requirements across multiple accounts.
