# What if I need to make changes to an approved payroll?

Once a payroll is **approved** in Zoho Payroll, it **cannot be edited or deleted**.

If you need to make corrections after approval, you’ll have to wait until the payroll is **completed**, and then record any adjustments in a **future pay run**. For example, through additional earnings or deductions. This ensures payroll records and tax filings remain accurate.

To help avoid errors, Zoho Payroll includes a built-in **Pay Run Approval Flow** (available in select [pricing plans](https://www.zoho.com/us/payroll/pricing/)), which adds an extra layer of review:

*   **Users without approval permission** must **submit the payroll for approval**, after which an authorized user will review and approve it.
*   **Users with approval permission** can **submit and approve** the payroll in a single step.
