# What to do if I missed to approve a pay run before the pay day?

If you don’t approve a pay run **at least 4 business days before the scheduled pay date**, Zoho Payroll **cannot process payments** via Direct Deposit.

To proceed, you can:

*   **Update the pay date** to a future date and approve the pay run,
*   **Extend the approval deadline** by changing the employee payment mode to **check**,
*   Or, **[contact our support team](mailto:support.usa@zohopayroll.com)** to request a **wire transfer**.

To avoid delays or missed filings, always approve payroll well in advance of the pay date.
