Pay Schedule
You can set up a Pay Schedule using Zoho Payroll, based on when and how often you pay your employees.
Setting up Pay Schedule
To set up your pay schedule, please perform the following steps:
- Click the Gear icon located at the upper-right corner of the screen, and click Pay Schedule.
- Alternatively, you can click Settings from the sidebar and then select Pay Schedule.
- Select the Pay Frequency. Zoho Payroll currently supports 4 types of pay frequencies.

Once a week (Weekly) |
52 | You pay your employees on a specific day every single week. For instance, every Friday. |
Once in two weeks (Bi-Weekly) |
26 | You pay your employees on a specific day every other week. For instance, every other Friday. |
Twice a month (Semi-Monthly) |
24 | You pay your employees twice a month, on two specific dates. For instance, on the 15th and the 30th every month. |
Once a month (Monthly) |
12 | You pay your employees on a specific day every month. For instance, on the 30th of every month. |

Set up pay days. Employees are paid on these days for each subsequent pay period.
Note:
A pay period is the length of time in which work is performed. Employees are paid for each pay period on a specified date. -
Choose when your first pay period starts.

Choose your first pay day.

Click Save and Continue.
Note:
- If pay day falls on a holiday or a non-working day, your employees will be paid on the preceding business day.
- You can edit the Pay Schedule at any time before you run your first payroll. Once you’ve processed a pay run, you cannot change the Pay Schedule.
