If you encounter this error while configuring the HMRC connection in Zoho Books, it usually means that you have not signed up for Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax with HMRC.
To resolve this:
- Verify that you have signed up for MTD for Income Tax on the HMRC website.
- Ensure that your National Insurance Number (NINO) and other details are entered correctly in Zoho Books.
- After completing the sign-up process, try connecting to HMRC again.
