Manage Modules in Zoho Spend
The General section under Setup & Configurations in Zoho Spend allows admins to enable or disable core modules for their organization. Enabling a module here makes it available for both employees and users.
By configuring modules, admins can customize which features are available for their employees and align Zoho Spend with their organization’s travel, purchase, and payroll management workflows.
The modules available in Zoho Spend are grouped into two sections:
- Travel and Expense Modules
- Purchases Modules
Each module can be enabled or disabled based on the organization’s requirements. Once you enable a module, they will be available in the left sidebar. You’ll be able to access and configure these modules only after enabling them in this page.
The Travel and Expense Modules section allows admins to enable the travel and expense modules for their organization, such as Trips, Expenses, Reports, and Advances.
- Trips: Enable this module to allow employees to book, create, submit, and approve trip requests for business travel.
- Reports: Enable this module to let employees create, submit, approve, and reimburse expense reports for their business expenses.
- Advances: Enable this module to allow employees to request or record advances, and associate them to expense reports for reimbursements.
The Purchases Modules section allows admins to enable purchases modules for their organization, such as Vendors, Items, Bills, Vendor Payments, Purchase Requests, Request for Quotes, Purchase Orders, Purchase Receives, and Recurring Bills.
- Vendor and Items: Enable these modules to add and manage the vendors and items required for your organization’s purchases.
- Bills & Vendor Payments: Enable these modules to create, submit, approve, and pay vendor bills.
- Purchase Requests: Enable this module to create, submit, approve, and manage purchase requests within the organization.
- Request for Quotes: Enable this module to create, submit, approve, award, and manage requests for quotes from vendors.
- Purchase Orders: Enable this module to create, submit, approve, send, and manage purchase orders for vendors.
- Purchase Receives: Enable this module to record and manage the purchase receives.
- Recurring Bills: Enable this module to create and manage recurring bills.
Enable Modules for Your Organization
Note: While you can enable or disable most modules as needed, a few core modules are mandatory if you have enabled the Travel & Expense Modules and Purchase Modules:
- All the trip related expenses, advances, and reimbursements are consolidated and processed through the Reports module in the Travel & Expense modules section.
- The Vendors, Items, Bills and Vendor Payments modules in the Purchases Module section is mandatory for all purchase related activities in your organization.
Zoho Spend provides businesses with the ability to enable and disable domains and modules as per a business’s requirements. Here’s how you can enable a domain/module:
- Go to Settings on the left sidebar.

Click Settings in the top right corner of the page. - Click General under Setup & Configurations.
- If you want to enable a domain, check the checkbox next to the domain (for example, Travel & Expense). If you enable a domain, the primary modules of the domain will also be enabled. For example, if you enable Travel & Expenses, Reports will also be enabled.
- If you want to enable a module, check the checkbox next to the module (for example, Trips).
- Click Save.
Disable Modules for Your Organization
Note: While you can enable or disable most modules as needed, a few core modules are mandatory if you have enabled the Travel & Expense Modules and Purchase Modules:
- All the trip related expenses, advances, and reimbursements are consolidated and processed through the Reports module in the Travel & Expense modules section. Hence, you cannot disable them.
- The Vendors, Items, Bills and Vendor Payments modules in the Purchases Module section is mandatory for all purchase related activities in your organization. Hence, you cannot disable them.
Zoho Spend provides businesses with the ability to enable and disable domains and modules as per a business’s requirements. If a domain/module is disabled, the data will still be available once it is re-enabled. Here’s how you can disable a domain/module:
- Go to Settings on the left sidebar.

Click Settings in the top right corner of the page. - Click General under Setup & Configurations.
- If you want to disable a domain, uncheck the checkbox next to the domain (for example, Travel & Expense). If you disable a domain, all the modules under it will also be disabled.
- If you want to disable a module, uncheck the checkbox next to the module (for example, Trips).
- Click Save.
