Wave picking, or order consolidation, is a picking method used by warehouses that are split into several zones. With this method, all the pickers work on picking the items for one order at a time. Pickers are assigned to individual zones to pick products and then send them to consolidation. Once all the items for the order have reached consolidation, they are sent as a group to the packing station.
