# How can I change the format of my organization/customer address?

To change the format of organization’s address:

*   Go to _Settings_ and select **General Preferences**.
*   Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the _Organization Address Format_ section where you can edit the address format of your organization.
*   Include the placeholders that you may want from under **Insert Placeholders**, or rearrange the existing placeholders to style your address format the way you want it to appear.
*   **Save** the changes before proceeding.

To verify if the updated format is being correctly displayed on the invoices you send to your customers:

*   Go to _Settings_ > _PDF Templates_ and click **Edit** on your invoice template.
*   In the _Edit Template_ page, click **Transaction Details** and ensure if you have checked the _Show Organization Address_ checkbox.
*   Now, click the **Organization Address Format** option to check how your address is being displayed in the invoice template.

**Pro Tip:**  If you would like have a custom address format for the selected template, click **Configure** next to _Do you want to have a custom address format only for this template?_

*   Once you’re done reviewing the address on the invoice template, click **Save** in the top right corner of the page.

If you wish to change the address format of your customer:

*   Go to _Settings_ and click **Customers**.
*   Here, under the _General_ tab, scroll down to [edit the customer’s address](https://www.zoho.com/invoice/help/contacts/contact-preferences.html#address-formats) as you prefer.
