How do I prevent users from changing item prices on quotes?

If you do not want your users to modify item prices on quotes, you can configure a restriction based on roles.

To prevent users from changing item prices on quotes:

Go to Settings by clicking the Gear icon in the top right corner.

Click Items in the Items section.

Navigate to the Field Customization tab.

Hover over Selling Price. A dropdown will appear at the right corner.

Click the dropdown and select Configure Access. Configuring Write Access for Item Selling Price Field in Zoho Books

Select the Read Only radio button next to the roles.

Click Save.

Once saved, the users falling under the configured roles will not be able to modify item prices on quotes and the selling price of items in the Items module.
