# Should I send a predefined message to my customer to initiate the chat if I give End Session?

If the chat session has not expired, you need not send a predefined message after clicking End Session. You can simply click **Chat** and continue the conversation. End Session will allow other users of your organization to chat with the customers without taking over the chat session.
