Create a Zoho Developer Account

Before you build your first extension, you’ll have to set up your Zoho Developer account.

If you already have a Zoho account, you can access Zoho Developer using your Zoho credentials.

If you do not have a Zoho account, here’s how you can create a Zoho Developer account:

• Go to the Zoho Developer website.
• Click Get Started at the top right corner of the page.
• Fill in the necessary details and click Sign Up for Free.

After signing up, we’ll send an email with a confirmation link to your registered email address. Click the link and follow the steps provided to complete your registration.

Once you’ve completed the registration, go back to Zoho Developer.

• Click Start building near Sigma.

• You’ll be redirected to Sigma. Enter a name for your workspace in the text box below the Enter your workspace name field.

Create an Extension

To create an extension for Zoho Books:

• Go to Sigma.
• In the Extensions tab of your workspace, click New Extension in the top right corner.

• Enter a name for the extension in the text box below the Name field.
• Provide a description for the extension in the text box below the Description field. Ensure that the description is at least 25 characters.
• Select the Zoho Books logo under Service.
• Read and agree to the terms and conditions specified.
• Click Create.

Now, the extension will be created. You can find your extension in the All Extensions sub tab of the Extensions tab.

• To view the details of the extension, click the Extension Details button.

• To start building your extension, click the Edit Extension button. You’ll be redirected to the Zoho Books Developer Portal where you can build your extension.
