Generate FatturaPA Files in Zoho Billing

The FatturaPA extension for Zoho Billing helps businesses in Italy comply with the country’s electronic invoicing regulations. This extension enables companies dealing with B2B, B2G, or B2C transactions to generate invoices in the legally required FatturaPA XML format. By automatically validating invoices, the extension minimizes manual errors and reduces the risk of rejections, ensuring a smoother e-invoicing process.

Note: This extension is only available for the Global edition with location selected as Italy.

Install FatturaPA Extension

To generate Fattura files for invoices, you have to install the FatturaPA extension in your organization. Here’s how:

Log in to your Zoho Billing organization and go to Settings.
Select Marketplace under Integrations & Marketplace.
Search and select Generate FatturaPA files in Zoho Billing.
Click Install at the top band.
In the pop-up that appears:
- Verify your details in the Use of Personal Details section.
- Select the organization for which you want to install the extension from the dropdown next to the Portal Name field in the Installation details section.
- Read and agree to the terms and conditions of your vendor and Zoho Marketplace.
- Click Install to proceed with the installation of the extension.
On the following page, mark the I agree to the Terms and Conditions of the integration, and authorize FatturaPA to access and process my data as needed option and click Next.
To authorize your Fattura connection:
- Hover over Fattura Connection and click Connect.
- On the new page that appears, click Connect.
- The extension requires access to certain data from the apps listed on the page to fetch the necessary data.
- Click Accept to continue.
Once you authorize the connection, you will get a confirmation message. Click Next at the bottom of the page.
Select a tax regime from the dropdown and click Install Extension.

The FatturaPA extension will be installed in your Zoho Billing organization.

Other users in the organization should connect to the extension to use it on their system. To connect to the FatturaPA extension:

Go to Settings.
Select Marketplace under Integrations & Marketplace.
Navigate to the Installed Extensions tab.
Click View details under Generate FatturaPA files in Zoho Billing.
Hover over Fattura Connection and click Connect.

Generate Fattura Files Using FatturaPA Extension

Prerequisites:

Ensure that your organization’s address is correctly entered in the Organization Profile under Settings, and that your VAT number is added in the Tax Settings section.

Here’s how to generate a Fattura file:

Go to Invoices under Sales.
Select the invoice for which you want to generate a Fattura file.
Click the Generate Fattura custom button at the top of the invoice’s details page.
In the pop-up that appears, enter the required details and click Generate.

The generated Fattura file will be saved to your system. If any errors occur while generating the file, a pop-up will display the reason for the failure. After resolving the issue, you can try generating the file again.

Bulk Generate Fattura Files

Prerequisites:

To generate Fattura files, make sure the following fields are filled in the invoices:

Payment Option
Payment Mode
Recipient Type

Here’s how to generate Fattura files for invoices in bulk:

Go to Invoices under Sales.
Select the invoices for which you want to generate Fattura files from the list view.
Click Generate Fattura at the top.

The Fattura files will be generated individually for each invoice and saved to your system. If any error occurs while generating the file, a pop-up will display the reason for the failure. After resolving the issue, you can try generating the file again.
