How do I delete an item?

To delete an item:

  • Log in to your Zoho Books account.
  • Go to Items on the left sidebar, and select Items.
  • Choose the item you want to delete.
  • Click the More icon and select Delete from the dropdown.
  • In the pop-up, click Delete to confirm the deletion.

Once you complete the above steps, the selected item will be deleted.

Note: If the item is part of any transactions, you cannot delete it until those transactions are deleted. Instead, you can make them inactive.

To mark an item inactive:

  • Go to Items on the left sidebar, and select Items.
  • Choose the item you want to mark as inactive and click the More icon in the top right corner of the page.
  • Select Mark as Inactive.

Now, the selected item will be marked as inactive and can again be marked as active anytime.
