How do I delete invoice payments that have already been recorded?
Payments associated to an invoice can be deleted even after they’re recorded in Zoho Invoice. To do this:
- Go to Invoices, and select the invoice for which payment needs to be deleted.
- In the Invoice Overview page, click the Payments Received sub-tab to view the recorded payment for that invoice.
- Click the Trash icon to delete the payment.
- In the pop-up that appears, choose if you want to dissociate the payment from the invoice and add it as credit for the customer, or if you want to delete the payment entirely.
- If you select Delete Payment, click Delete in the pop-up that appears next.
If all the payments related to an invoice are deleted, the invoice status will be updated automatically.
